IRANIAN STATE TV STRUCK DURING LIVE BROADCAST AS CONFLICT WITH ISRAEL ESCALATES

Tensions between Iran and Israel reached a dramatic peak on Monday as a massive explosion disrupted a live broadcast on Iranian state television. The blast, which occurred while a female presenter was delivering criticism of Israel on-air, forced her to flee the studio mid-broadcast. Footage of the chaotic moment quickly circulated online.
According to Iranian media, the explosion was a targeted strike, which Tehran condemned as a “war crime.” The Iranian government directly blamed Israel for the attack, citing the ongoing military confrontation between the two nations.
During the broadcast, a reporter on the ground noted that dust began to fill the studio following “the sound of aggression against the homeland,” shortly before the explosion shattered a screen behind the presenter. The station abruptly cut transmission and switched to prerecorded programming.
Significantly, Israeli forces had issued an evacuation warning just an hour before the strike, advising residents to leave the central district of Tehran, where the national broadcaster’s headquarters is located.
The strike followed a series of Iranian missile attacks on Israel earlier that day, which reportedly claimed the lives of at least eight people. In response, Israel intensified its warnings, with Defense Minister Israel Katz declaring that “Iranian propaganda and incitement mouthpieces were about to disappear.”
Israeli authorities confirmed that the evacuation alert affected up to 330,000 residents in central Tehran, including areas housing Iran’s state broadcaster, national police HQ, and several hospitals—one of which is operated by the Revolutionary Guard.
The incident marks a significant escalation in the conflict, now entering its fourth day, with fears of further retaliatory attacks growing on both sides.
