TOYIN LAWANI DRAGS AESTHETIC DOCTOR OVER ANGELA OKORIE’S BBL

Celebrity fashion designer, Toyin Lawani, has publicly called out aesthetic doctor, Dr. Bea, for body-shaming Nollywood actress Angela Okorie over her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure.
Earlier, Dr. Bea had taken a swipe at Angela after the actress shared a behind-the-scenes video from a movie set. Using Angela as an example, the dermatologist advised women, particularly Nollywood stars, to embrace moderation in cosmetic enhancements and focus more on their acting craft than physical appeal.
This commentary didn’t sit well with Toyin Lawani, who took to Instagram to defend Angela and challenge Dr. Bea’s credibility. In a strongly worded post, Lawani accused the doctor of hypocrisy, pointing out her own extensive facial modifications while publicly criticizing others.
“I rarely get involved in social media drama,” Toyin wrote. “But you preach ‘less is more’ while literally carrying another person’s face all over Nigeria and encouraging people to patronize you. How are you better than her?”
She continued by urging women to support one another instead of tearing each other down for personal gain. “If she loves her body, how is that anyone’s business? Stop body-shaming people under the guise of giving advice. If you truly meant well, you’d have reached out privately—not used her to promote your brand.”

Toyin also made it clear she’s never undergone BBL but wouldn’t hesitate to do so if she wished. “Even if I choose to do it, I’ll do it for me and not for anyone else.”
She ended her post with a firm message: “Let people do what makes them happy. No slander of Angela Okorie will be tolerated.”
