MINISTER OF INTERIOR UNDER FIRE AFTER NUDE IMAGE APPEARS ON OFFICIAL X ACCOUNT

In a country where the unexpected often becomes the norm, Nigerians were once again left stunned by an unusual digital blunder.

On Tuesday, April 23, the verified X (formerly Twitter) account of Nigeria’s Ministry of Interior found itself at the center of an online firestorm after it reposted an explicit nude photo of Latin adult film actress Lena Hensonu without any caption or context.

The post lingered on the Ministry’s timeline for nearly 15 hours before it was eventually deleted, but not before users had taken screenshots and the image began making rounds across social media platforms.

The Ministry has yet to issue an official statement, fueling speculation that the incident may have resulted from an account hack or unauthorized access. Meanwhile, the account has resumed its regular activity entirely ignoring the viral mishap.

Social media users were quick to express their shock, frustration, and humor.

“This country will humble you every day,” one user remarked.
Another quipped, “Maybe they’re diversifying into entertainment.”

As a key body overseeing internal security and civil governance, the Ministry’s apparent slip has sparked fresh concerns about cybersecurity protocols and social media conduct within Nigerian government agencies.

Though the offending post is now deleted, its digital footprint lingers; a reminder of the chaotic surprises Nigerians continue to face both online and offline.
