IYABO OJO IN TEARS AT SURPRISE MOTHER’S NIGHT AHEAD OF DAUGHTER PRISCILLA’S WEDDING

Nollywood actress, filmmaker and proud mother of two, Iyabo Ojo, was overcome with emotion during a surprise Mother’s Night celebration held in her honor on Thursday, just days before her daughter Priscilla Ojo’s highly anticipated wedding.

With Priscilla set to tie the knot with her Tanzanian heartthrob Juma Jux on April 17th, close friends and colleagues of the actress gathered to celebrate her unwavering dedication and sacrifices as a mother.

The star-studded event, which had celebrities like Mercy Aigbe, Toyin Abraham, Kemi Korede, and Sikiratu Sindodo in attendance, was nothing short of emotional. One of the most touching moments of the night was when Iyabo, caught in a wave of gratitude and reflection, broke down in tears while dancing. Surrounded by friends who serenaded her with love and praises, the actress was visibly moved.

Fans and well-wishers have since flooded social media with warm comments:
Olayinka Solomon remarked, “What every mother must experience. May we live long to witness the goodness of our children.”
Another user wrote, “This is so sweet! May this joy last forever in Jesus’ name.”
Others called it a “well-deserved celebration for a woman who has weathered life’s storms with grace.”

Iyabo’s journey as a single mother has been anything but easy. She has openly shared her past struggles—raising two children alone, navigating public criticism, and facing stigmatization following her failed marriage. Despite all odds, she remained steadfast, raising Priscilla and Festus with love, discipline, and faith.

Interestingly, in a past interview, Iyabo expressed her desire for her daughter to marry young and start a family — a dream that’s now unfolding before her eyes. When Juma Jux was introduced to the family in August during his birthday celebration in Nigeria, Iyabo warmly embraced him, proudly calling “extra” the family’s middle name and declaring her full support for the union.

From a single mother with scars to a celebrated mom preparing for her daughter’s big day, Iyabo Ojo’s story is one of grit, grace, and glory — and her tears on that dance floor told it all.
