MANGO HARVEST DISPUTE TURNS DEADLY AS BROTHERS CLASH IN BORNO

A dispute over mango harvesting between two brothers in Benishiekh, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State, turned tragic, leaving one dead and the other hospitalized.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 25, around 9:00 a.m., when 40-year-old Kajdi Kachalla and his younger brother, 28-year-old Baba Goni Kachalla, engaged in a violent altercation at their mango plantation in the Ajari area of Benishiekh.
During the fight, both sustained severe head and mouth injuries after attacking each other with sticks. Police operatives arrived promptly and rushed them to the General Hospital in Benishiekh.
Kajdi Kachalla was later pronounced dead, while Baba Goni remains under medical care.
The deceased’s body was released to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
