Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku has shared her thoughts on the growing trend of body enhancement surgeries like BBL. In an Instagram post, she pointed out that beauty is no longer rare or exclusive, as anyone with money can alter their appearance. According to her, what truly sets a woman apart is her mind.

She urged women to focus on developing their intelligence, investing in their skills, and building their knowledge because, while they can buy a new body, they can’t buy a new brain. The mother of three further noted that BBL is essentially a “buy one, get one free” deal, but the brain remains unchanged unless actively developed.

Mary advised those considering cosmetic procedures to also invest in personal growth. She warned that enhancing physical appearance without intellectual development is a recipe for disaster. Her message was clear: “Substance over surface.”
