REDEEMED CHURCH SET ABLAZE AS TANKER EXPLODES ON OTEDOLA BRIDGE

A devastating fire broke out last night, March 11, after a fuel tanker exploded beneath Otedola Bridge in Lagos State.
The 30-tonne DAF Gas Truck, whose registration number remains unknown, was navigating the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway when it crashed, triggering a massive explosion. Fireballs erupted, engulfing a nearby Redeemed Christian Church, an adjoining bungalow, and four vehicles before emergency responders could contain the blaze.
The inferno also spread to nearby mechanic workshops, causing further damage.
While no casualties have been reported, the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) confirmed that emergency teams worked through the night to extinguish the fire and restore order.
