MUDASHIRU OBASA REELECTED AS LAGOS SPEAKER

Mudashiru Obasa has reclaimed his position as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. He was sworn in on Monday following the resignation of Mojisola Meranda, who stepped down after 49 days in office.

In his post-reinstatement address, Obasa thanked his colleagues and party leaders, including former Osun and Ogun state governors Bisi Akande and Olusegun Osoba. He hailed the smooth transition as a testament to the political maturity within the assembly, emphasizing that the legislature possesses effective mechanisms to resolve internal disputes.
