PRISCILLA OJO SHUTS NAYSAYERS AS SHE SHARES VIDEO SCREENSHOT OF FATHER

Reactions have continued to trail the presence of actress Iyabo Ojo’s ex-husband in their children’s lives, especially after their daughter, Priscilla Ojo, shared a heartwarming moment with him.

Hours ago, Priscilla posted a screenshot of a video call with her father on her Snapchat story, adding love emojis to the image. This gesture sparked conversations, with many praising Iyabo Ojo for ensuring her ex-husband remained involved in their children’s lives, particularly during their daughter’s wedding.

However, his absence at Priscilla’s grand traditional wedding in Tanzania initially raised concerns. Some Nigerians criticized Iyabo Ojo over the situation, but the shared photo of Priscilla and her father helped put speculations to rest.

Many attributed his absence to cultural reasons, noting that in Nigerian tradition, the bride’s father is typically not expected to attend the wedding at her in-laws’ home. Instead, it is customary for the groom’s family to seek the bride’s family’s blessings. Nonetheless, he showed his support for his daughter by respecting her husband’s customs.

Here’s how some Nigerians reacted:

@iam_ebimiere: “Smart child of a grace-filled mother.”

@olori_adesolla: “God has shamed Queen Mother’s enemies. Awon were eda.”

@mumi_tee: “Iyabo has always said in interviews that her children’s father is in their lives. As a Yoruba man, he wouldn’t travel to Tanzania for the Nikkah ceremony. He can delegate their mother and Festus, his son, to handle it. I believe he’ll be present for the Nigerian ceremonies. It is the groom’s family who should visit and seek the bride’s father’s blessings.”

@temmy_business_world: “I knew Queen Mother wouldn’t stop them from seeing their dad. That woman is too mature for that. She has a heart of gold.”

Priscilla Ojo officially tied the knot with her fiancé, Juma Jux, on Friday in a beautiful Tanzanian traditional wedding. The much-discussed event kept many fans glued to their screens over the weekend as they enjoyed glimpses of the lavish celebration online.
