CHRIS OYAKHILOME ON WHY GOSPEL SINGERS LEFT CHRIST EMBASSY
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder of LoveWorld (Christ Embassy), has finally addressed why several prominent gospel artists, including Sinach, Joe Praize, Frank Edwards, and Eben, parted ways with his church.

Years ago, when these musicians left Christ Embassy—the ministry where their careers took off—speculation arose that they departed because they were not permitted to minister outside the church.
However, in a newly surfaced video, Pastor Chris revealed that he distanced himself from them because they were no longer truly celebrating God.
He explained that he attempted to guide them back, but they refused and chose to go their own way.
*”What happened? The church became a place of entertainment rather than a house of prayer where God’s Word was honored. They were not soul winners. They led praise in church, but when it was time for prayers, they disappeared.
Worship lost its essence. Everything changed. The music in the church became worldly. They danced for themselves, celebrated themselves—not God. They began charging for their singing, turning ministry into a profession for profit. Many pastors didn’t realize that this was how the world was creeping into the church.”*
