TINUBU MOURNS VICTIMS OF ZAMFARA ISLAMIC SCHOOL FIR£
President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the parents, guardians, and families who lost loved ones in a tragic fire outbreak that engulfed an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, on Tuesday night.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu also sympathized with the state government and the school’s proprietors. He prayed for the swift recovery of those receiving medical care.
The President urged all public and private schools to prioritize children’s safety and security at all times. He also directed regulatory bodies in the education sector to enforce compliance with safety standards.
Praying for the souls of the departed, Tinubu asked God Almighty to grant their loved ones strength and comfort.
At least 17 children lost their lives in the fire, while 16 others sustained injuries, according to a local resident, Abdulrasaq Bello Kaura.
