Nigerian Troops Nab Top Terrorist, Raid IED Hub in North-East
Troops of Sector 2 Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), arrested a wanted Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist and raided Boko Haram Improvised Explosive Devices materials hub in Damboa and Gashua Local Government Areas of Borno and Yobe States, authorities say.
The terrorist, Yawi Modu, was nabbed along Damboa-Wajiroko road, following a tip-off, while two notorious BH distributors of IED materials were also arrested.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, maintained that the operational feats recorded followed robust operations conducted by the troops.
