Few hours ago, Nigerian Actor/Producer, Lynda Clems called out her colleague , Annie Idibia via her Instagram handle.
In a telephone chat with #NeeCeeBosslady , Lynda said she created the movie character’#Nkoyo ‘ and invited Annie to play the role in a movie, produced by her.
She said she was surprised when someone called to ask if she was in town( Nigeria).She said the caller said he asked because a series titled #Nkoyo is being shot
It was gathered that Annie developed the same character of #Nkoyo she was invited to play into a series.
Lynda said she contacted top #NollywoodActors in the industry concerning the matter. On the long run, Annie later reached out to her.
Lynda said she drew her attention to the fact that she infringed on her intellectual property without her consent. With the tone of Annie’s response via WhatsApp, according to her , she could discern she was angry.
Lynda said Annie’s attitude couldn’t make her to be nice. She claimed Annie didn’t get back to her since April they had their last discussion.
Lynda revealed that “they said they wanted to settle out of court” . According to her she said ; “they released the series and it’s showing already”.
She said she blocked Annie so as not to see anything about the project.
In her words, she said she came across a producer and saw a post on the same series on the character, and Annie credited herself as the ‘ creator ‘ of a series centered on a character she created. She said that alone got her mad and that made her call her out on Social Media.
