#Covid19 : 473 new cases Across the 13 States, Four related deaths
Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory and 12 other states has reported 473 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, according to figures released on Sunday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
Four additional COVID-19 related deaths was also reported by the health agency.
This was disclosed on Sunday by NCDC on their official website.
According to the agency, the 473 new cases were recorded from Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Oyo, Rivers, the FCT and nine other states.
The highest numbers for new infections was recorded by Lagos with 323 cases, Akwa Ibom – 46, Rivers – 41, FCT – 20, Ekiti – 12, Osun – 9, Oyo – 9, Ogun – 6, Bayelsa – 3, with Anambra, Edo, Nasarawa and Plateau reporting a single case from each state.
The health agency said the 473 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 177, 615
Furthermore, 165,472 COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged in the country, the agency said.
With four deaths reported, the death toll from the virus has risen to 2,185, NCDC said.
It added that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
