Hype Nigeria Exclusive Interview Session With Artist – Chijioke Anyacho
Let’s Meet Chijioke Anyacho
My name is chijioke anyacho
Am from Orlu in Imo state

Why Ball Pen Drawing ?
Ball pen is not a common tool for expression
Few artists experiment with it
My journey into ball pen wasn’t premeditated…it was just a flash….use what you have
How long have you been into it ?
As a full time penter, four months now.
But I had been working with pen for the past 2years
Wow ! Your drawings are amazing. Now that brings us to the question, how do you manage errors using ball pen ?
You have to find your way around it
If it’s too bad
You have no choice but to start all over again
But the most important thing is being extremely careful
How do you choose the subject of your drawing, and how long does it take to finish up one ?
It takes an Average 80-100 hours to finish a drawing
There is no prerequisite fot choosing a subject…..anything i find fascinating and interest does it for me…and it depends on what I intend to achieve or the message i intend to pass with the work
How much do you charge for complete ball pen work ?
The charges are fair……..and very affordable
What are the challenges you face as an artist ?
The Major challenge an artist faces is finance
How do you see the Nigerian market ?
The Nigerian market is an emerging market
Filled with lots of potentials and possibilities for anyone to grab
With your blessed hands, where do you see yourself in the next four years?
In the next four years, I will definitely have expanded my mediums of expression…….sculpture, photography, oil painting….i will embrace more conventional means of telling stories and passing a message across
What do you have to say to your fellow artists ?
To my fellow artist I say….keep working…keep practising…….there will always be a market for what you do…..
Don’t ever forget this….that everything good will surely come
It might take a while
But it will surely come
And remember that God is the source of creativity…..you can only create because His creative spirit lives inside of you
Thank you for your time with us. We wish you a healthy career ahead
Thanks.
