TRAGEDY AS FIVE SIBLINGS DI£ OF FOOD POISONING IN ANAMBRA

Shock and sorrow hit Ogidi in Anambra State after five children from the same family tragically died from suspected food poisoning. The heartbreaking incident occurred on Saturday, May 3, after the kids reportedly ate a meal prepared by their mother.

Their father, a 79-year-old retired soldier, said the children started vomiting and complaining of stomach pain before they were rushed to various hospitals but sadly, they didn’t survive. Their mother, who also fell ill, is currently hospitalised and battling for her life.

Police have taken over the scene and collected food samples for forensic investigation. Only one child survived, he was away from home at the time.

The family is now in dire need of support to handle medical and burial expenses.
