BRICKLAYER ALLEGEDLY FLEES AFTER WIFE GIVES BIRTH TO TRIPLETS

A bricklayer, Bayo Jeje, has allegedly fled his home after his wife, Iyanu Ehuwa Jeje, gave birth to triplets at a private hospital in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Jeje reportedly disappeared after hospital staff informed him that his wife had delivered three baby boys. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, sparked concern at Aribo Hospital, where health workers raised the alarm over his sudden disappearance.

Sources at the hospital told Daily Trust that Jeje left his wife and newborns stranded without financial support.

One of the sources revealed that Mrs. Jeje’s ordeal began around 5 a.m. at Igbokoda Health Centre, where she faced prolonged delays due to the absence of a doctor. As her condition worsened, she was rushed to Aribo Hospital, where she safely delivered the triplets.

“But instead of celebrating the joyous occasion, her husband, who had been expressing concerns about his financial situation, fled, leaving his wife and newborns without any support,” the source added.

Meanwhile, a hospital staff member, speaking anonymously, confirmed that Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo South Senatorial District, has intervened in the matter. He directed one of his aides, Juwon Ade-Aworetan, the coordinator of the Ondo South Advancement and Welfare Consultative Association (OSAWA), to provide immediate financial assistance to the family.
