PAUL OKOYE OF PSQUARE ACCUSES PETER OF IMPRISONING ELDER BROTHER
The drama within the Okoye family has taken a shocking turn! Legendary singer Paul Okoye has publicly accused his twin brother, Peter Okoye, of being behind the recent legal troubles of their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
Recall that Jude, the former manager of PSquare, was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ikoyi over an alleged N1.38 billion fraud. Reacting to the news, Paul took to his Instagram story, stating, “This is what Peter wanted,” while sending words of encouragement to Jude, urging him to stay strong.
Paul showed up at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi on Friday to support Jude, and during a press interaction, he didn’t hold back. He accused Peter of being responsible for Jude’s imprisonment, vowing to bring his elder brother out. *“Peter is the one who put Jude in prison, and I’m here to bring him out,”* Paul declared.
This isn’t the first time the Okoye brothers have been at odds. In 2023, PSquare’s fallout was reignited over allegations that Jude had diverted joint funds. Paul revealed in an interview that Peter had orchestrated his and Jude’s arrest by the EFCC in December 2023. Although Paul was later cleared of all charges, the rift between the brothers deepened.
Peter, however, has a different story. He claims that instead of teaming up with him to reclaim their top spot in the music industry, Paul chose to align with Jude, marginalizing and humiliating him. Peter also accused Paul of constantly disrespecting him, his wife, his family, his talent, and his ideas.
