SKEPTA WAITING ON HIS TURN TO BE DRAGGED BY PORTABLE

British rapper and music producer Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr., popularly known as Skepta, has reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding Nigerian singer Portable and his habit of calling out past collaborators.

Portable has gained a reputation for publicly dragging artists he has worked with, including Asake, Davido, Olamide, Poco Lee, and more. Most recently, he took aim at Asake following his Grammy loss, criticizing Olamide for supporting Asake instead of him.

Reacting to the drama, Skepta, who has been trending on Twitter, shared a lighthearted response. He wrote:

“Why am I trending? Lol. I’ve just seen Portable dragging somebody again. Apparently, I’m next. We dey wait lol.”

Interestingly, just last month, Skepta had praised Portable in a series of tweets. He revealed that after meeting many fake people in the industry, Portable stood out as a breath of fresh air. Skepta acknowledged Portable’s unconventional methods of staying relevant—such as constantly dropping snippets, jumping gates, and walking the streets with bank statements. While he admitted that he wouldn’t personally follow these tactics, he respected Portable’s raw energy and authenticity.

This followed Portable’s public appreciation of Skepta after receiving a huge royalty payout from their hit song Tony Montana. The Nigerian singer praised the British rapper for being transparent and fair, expressing gratitude for not shortchanging him.

Their connection dates back to December 2023 when Portable and Skepta formed an alliance and attended the British Fashion Awards in London together. During the event, Portable also had memorable encounters with Tiwa Savage and Damson Idris.

With Skepta now in Portable’s line of fire, fans are eagerly waiting to see if the British rapper will indeed be his next target.
