No life lost as firefighters tackle fire at Hi-Impact TV studio

 

HI-Impact TV studio in Ibafo, Ogun State caught fire in the early hours of today, Thursday.

 

The staff of the TV station and those of an amusement park on the premises were reported to have curtailed the spread of the fire before the arrival of men of Ogun State and Redeemed Christian Church of God fire services who put out the fire.

 

In a statement titled, ‘Hi-Impact TV Studio on Fire’, Adeyeloye Lipede, the Managing Director of Solution Media & Infotech, the mother company of the television station, said the cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be known.

 

Lipede said, “At about 8am today Thursday 12th August 2021, the Studios of Nigeria’s first full HD Television, Hi-Impact TV caught fire.

 

“No life was lost in the unfortunate incident and the Amusement Park & Resort is still intact.

 

“The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained. The television station is an arm of Solution Media & Infotech and operates from the premises of Hi-Impact Planet Amusement Park & Resort located at Ibafo, Ogun State.

 

“Meanwhile normal summer activities at the Park have been scheduled to resume by Thursday 19th August, 2021.”
