It is a make or mar encounter for the Super Eagles as they face a herculean task in Alexandria when they take-on the Pharaohs... Egypt vs Nigeria Match Ends in 1-0

Mohamed Salah’s late minute strike denied Nigeria all three points in Kaduna on Friday March 25, after Etebo Oghenekaro had put the Eagles ahead on the hour-mark.

However, Chad’s withdrawal from the qualifying series has left Nigeria facing a must-not-lose encounter at Egypt today March 29.

Chad pulled out of the qualifiers citing financial constraints as their reason for doing so.

As a result, all games involving Chad are null and void and Nigeria are two points adrift of Egypt with two rounds of qualifying remaining.

Should Nigeria defeat Egypt tonight, they will be the favourites to finish at the top of the standings going into the last game with a point lead over the Pharaohs with Tanzania visiting the Eagles at home in September.
